Synopsis: Senior Inspector Wing (Jackie Chan) is the most decorated and respected police officer on the force. A legend in his time, he leads a select team of officers in solving the toughest cases.
A gang of callous thieves headed by Joe (Daniel Wu) breaks open a bank safe, then purposely activates the alarm, publicly challenging the police force to stop them. Wing boasts that he will apprehend the gang within three hours, and brings his team of officers to attack the gang's powerbase. However, the team is killed one by one and although Wing manages to escape, his guilt and shame takes him down a road of despair and alcohol.
Frank (Nicholas Tse) hopes to become the personification of justice. He could not imagine that one day he would meet his idol in the police force, stinking drunk in a dark alley. He carries Wing home from the trash pile and forces him to return to work to resume investigation of this ghastly case.
Frank leads Wing back to the police station where he meets a beautiful policewoman, Sasa (Charlene Choi), who immediately develops a crush on him. She helps him with the case and finds the killers are addicted to X-Games and online video games. Frank discovers the gang's actions against the police have been made into an online video game, and she must play the game to find their next move.
